The 1985 Mercedes-Benz 190 E Cosworth that belonged to Brazilian Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna will soon be auctioned in London, England.

The car was commissioned by Senna in 1985 after he received an invitation from Mercedes to participate in a commemorative race at the newly renovated Nürburgring circuit in Germany.

After being collected in Stuttgart, Germany, Senna took the silver sedan to his home in Esher, England. The driver kept it for about two years and drove less than 45,000 km before deciding to sell it.

The vehicle went through a few more owners before reaching the current owner, who purchased the car in 1996 and took it to Australia in 2004. Today, it has 250,000 km on the odometer but still retains many of its original details.

This includes the signature of driver Niki Lauda in the engine bay, made during the 2016 Australian GP, a tool kit, Becker Mexico sound system, original fire extinguisher, and even a first aid kit that has never been opened.

Now, the car will be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s in London, England, on November 1st. The auction house estimates it will fetch between €255,000 and €290,000.
